Mubarak Wakaso
Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso ready to explode on his debut at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Espanyol player was roped in by coach Kwesi Appiah in November after impressing for the Spanish La Liga side.
He scored on his debut against Cape Verde in the 1-0 win friendly match played in Lisbon.
The hard-tackling midfielder has since settled in nicely and gunning for a starting in Sunday’s opener against DR Congo.
“This is not my first African competition for the nation but it’s the first time for the Black Stars,” Wakaso told www.ghanafa.org on Friday in Port Elizabeth after training.
“I don’t take it as a difficult thing because it’s part of my work.
“What I need to do or what we need to do is concentrate; get what we need on the pitch to get our three points, that’s the most important thing.”
CLOTTEY ALONE BEAT TP MAZEMBE. AA SHOULD START CLOTTEY, AFFUL, ASANTE N KISSI BOATENG IN THIS GAME AGAINST CONGO….AA, SAVE YOUR BEST FOR LAST!
MENATLITY!
AA MUST TAKE HEED TO MY ADVICE IF HE WANTS TO LIFT THE TROPHY
1. Get your tactics right
2. keep clean sheets in every single game.
3. attackers win you a match, defenders win you a tournament.
4. Make sure youR TEAM N PLAYERS are disciplined
5. Treat your players with respect. motivated all the players like their big brother.
6. Get the best out of your most talented players. PUT IN MORE WORK. MORE TRAINING, MORE LIFTING METAL
7. Don’t complain about the facilities
8. TRUST EACH OTHER
WE NEED TO ADOPT THE MENTALITY OF SCORING AND NOT BE SCORED ON. NO GOALS AGAINST PLS…..
AA, PREPARE FOR THE WORST POSSIBLE SITUATION AT THIS AFCON
LETS USE THE FIRST 3 GAMES TO TIGHTEN OUR DEFENCE. NO GOALS AGAINST. ALL WE NEED ARE THE FULL 3 POINTS.
JUS BEAT UR OPPONENTS BY 1 GOAL N DO NOT CLAIM ANY GOALS
NO COMPLACENCY/TIRI MU D3, PLS…..
I am really looking forward to Wakasso, hopefully he gets to play often,I really like the looks of him.
He’s an asset to the team now, keep it up Wakaso.
He is going to be the backbone of our team, a versatile player that can play anywhere in the mid-field. Expect thunder shots from him. Atsu and Adomah/Solomon opening up defenses for Gyan/Boakye.
My greatest joy is our defense, tough experienced guys at the back.
A lot of people ar looking up to atso and asa but i think this is the player to watch.
This team has too many left footers. And we all know these kind of players are unpredictable n difficult to play against.(Messi,Robben,Bale,Silva,Mata,Van Persie, etc) our Atsu,Kwadwo,Wakassu, will terrorise opponents with their sick moves while Adomah makes great runs on the flanks, Badu will pull it through the middle whiles Annan or Boateng shields the defence with their intelligent passes. Gyan n Yiadom can only pray n hope to break records in terms of goals in this competition.
