Ghanaian defender Baba Abdul Rahman says it is a dream come true to have received his debut call up to the Black Stars.

The ex Asante Kotoko player is one of four players to have been handed their debut Ghana call for the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan on March 24.

The Greuther Furth full-back’s consistency in the German top flight has been well rewarded with a deserved place in the Black Stars team for the must-win game to be played in Kumasi.

The teenager who is full of thanks is elated by his call up and says it was worth the wait.

“I thank God for answering my prayers and I am very very happy with the call up,” the teenager told MTNFootball.com.

“In fact the news has made my day superb. It is something I have been waiting for all these years and I believe it is worth the wait.”

The right-back joins strikers; Mahatma Otoo and David Accam and midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong who have secured their first ever Ghana call up for the game against Sudan.

I wish you all the best.I hope you’ll work harder to solidify yourself for good at that position.May Allah help you and I’ll also keep you in my prayers

  2. Boba Fett says:

Kwesi Appiah has certainly not learnt his lessons. He seem to be still experimenting at this crucial stage. hmmmmmmmm!

    • Ghanaman says:

What are you talking about! SHUT UP!!!! Go see how many changes Del Bosque has made in Spain since winning the world cup and Euro! Go find out what Prandelli has done in Italy!

      • PITO says:

You mean they call new players for every game? Coaches only call new players and leave out current ones for footballing reasons such as injury, lost form, o if the match is uncompetitive fixture. WHY CAUSE SO MUCH CONFUSION AMONG YOUR TEAM FOR? IS THAT A WAY TO BUILD UNITY IN A TEAM OR JUST CREATING UNNECESSARY ANARCHY? Frimpong deserves a place, baba rahman as well based on current form compared to others in their positions but what is the reason for solomon asante over quincy? mahatma otoo over AFFUM or RBY? Kissi Boateng over David Addy? Harrison Afful over Jerry Akaminko?

    • lalasu says:

Baba Fett, what lessons do u want Kwasi Appiah to learn

      • Boba Fett says:

He sent ten new and inexperienced players to SA and they let him down. Zambia will train in SA b4 their match with Losotho and Sudan will train in Ethiopia b4 coming to Ghana. This is no time for esperiments.

  3. Bro Attah says:

@boba fett, you are right, they have learnt nothing.. I won’t even mind them again, because they are just in for business, and we are wasting our time! I don’t even bother with them again. Apuuuu GFA hmmm

People like babafett don’t have sense of humour buz if he has wouldn’t have talked about kwesi appiahs selection for now because i think is the best selection for now so we should leave him alone and let him do his work and should do away with the entire ayew family. The so called pele also foolish. Dad with foolish with foolish children. Nonsense fake boateng.

  6. edmund says:

good to see emmanuel frimpong in de team.

  7. Adebayo says:

If fhis Rahman chap is a teanager why is he not with the youth teams first, especially the Satellites?

  8. marshall says:

@bogo i think you are an idiot who has never known what honour and self preservation is. but i think you can learn some lessons from elders and stop being nuissance to your God forsaken life.
