The Ghana Football Association has appointed David Duncan as new head coach for the national Olympics men team.

The AshantiGold coach is returning to national team duty after leading the 2005 Under-17 team to finish second at the Africa Championship in Gambia.

He was in-charge of the team at the World Cup in Peru but failed to go past the Group stage.

The Black Meteors have been without a technical head after Jones Attuquayefio retired due to his poor health.

Ghana failed to qualify for the last edition that was hosted by Beijing in 2008 under Attuquayefio.

Duncan will be tasked to secure a qualification spot for the London 2012 Games with graduates of the 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup winning team.

The AshantiGold head coach will be assisted by Wa All Stars coach Maxwell Konadu.
