Ghana goalkeepers' trainer Nassam Yakubu has come to the aid of Fatau Dauda to keep him sharp during the break in the South African top-flight as he keeps his first choice stopper in shape with the 2014 World Cup looming.

The 28-year-old is determined to win a starting role at Orlando Pirates as he continues to struggle to dethrone Senzo Meyiwa as the club’s first choice even though hew is Ghana's favourite shot-stopper.

Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer Nassam Yakubu, who lives in the Western Region town of Tarkwa, has arrived in Accra to help Dauda to undergo hectic daily training sessions.

Yakubu has been training Dauda at the Lizzy Sports Complex since the South Africa-based goalkeeper arrived in the country for holidays.

While the goalkeepers' trainer has shown his desire to work hard even outside his work schedule without pay just to keep his goalkeepers in shape, the move has also shown that Dauda is serious about his World Cup ambitions of staying Ghana's first choice goalkeeper.

Several Ghanaian fans have been worried over Dauda’s club inactivity with the 2014 World Cup just six months away.

The ex AshantiGold shot-stopper is however determined to fight for his starting place haven ruled out a loan move from Pirates.

Dauda has been involved in several tough exercises with national team trainer in Accra before he heads back for club duty on January 6.
