Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is crying for an opportunity to prove himself at Orlando Pirates.
The 27-year-old has had a torrid time getting into the Pirates first team even for friendly matches due to the impressive performance of club no.1 Senzo Meyiwa.
Dauda now says he only needs the slightest of opportunities to make his quality known haven obtained a South African work permit.
“The goalkeepers there are doing very well but all one needs is an opportunity,” he said.
“Once I get that opportunity which I believe will come, I am sure I will make a strong case to the coaches.”
The former AshantiGold first choice was far from his usual best during Ghana’s 2-1 win over Zambia in the 2014 World Cup qualifying match last Friday.
He below par performance has succeeded in raising doubts over his credentials as the undisputed first choice goalkeeper for the Black Stars.
