Danish top-flight side FC Midtjylland has handed Ghana international Francis Dickoh a six-month contract, MTNFootball.com has reported.

The 31-year-old centre-back trained with the club but impressed the technical team who handed him a short-term deal.

Dickoh was available on a free after leaving Belgian Cercle Brugge at the end of last season.

"We are pleased that we can associate Dickoh to the squad, because we can see that in the central defense is a little vulnerable. Francis left a very good impression when he was here in the fall, "said FC Midtjylland's head coach Glen Riddersholm.

"He is a man who shares the values we have in relation to being very professional on the field but he is especially a person with good values off the field, and these are some of the things that are important if you to come into the squad FC Midtjylland.’’

Dickoh has previously played for Dutch side Utrecht, Scottish Hibernian and Greek Aris Thessaloniki.

He made 13 appearances for the Black Stars.

FC Midtjylland went into the winter break on top of the Danish Superliga with a four-point lead above closet challengers AaB.
