Anderlecht manager Herman Van Holsbeeck wants to remain coy about his reported interest in Ghana defender Daniel Opare.

Opare, 24, has been linked with a sensational return to Belgium with Anderlecht believed to have expressed interest in his signature.

The Ghanaian international is currently on the books of Portuguese giants FC Porto but has struggled for game time due to injury since joining from Standard Liege.

Anderlecht are known to be interested in a defender with the former Real Madrid starlet mooted as the potential new signing.

But manager Herman Van Holsbeeck wants to keep the names of the potential suitors close to his chest.

Everyone knows that we need to strengthen the back which is missing balance,” he said

"We have a list, but certainly we are looking for a central defender. I don’t want to mention names at the moment.”

Opare will miss out of Ghana’s squad for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations after playing no part in the qualifiers.
