Daniel Nii Adjei will comlete his move to TP Mazembe this week
Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei will leave the country this week to complete his move to TP Mazembe.
The 25-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Congolese giants, who forked a reported US$ 150,000 for his services.
“I will leave Ghana by the close of this week to complete formalities with the club (Mazembe),” Adjei said
“One must move on in life and so when the opportunity came, I didn’t hesistate.
“Like I said I am leaving by the close of the week to Congo to join TP Mazembe.”
Kotoko’s decision to sell their most experienced player has not gone down well with a section of their fans who believe his departure could hurt their ambitions of retaining the Premier League crown and make a significant impact in the Caf Champions League next year.
He played his last game for the Porcupine Warriors in their 2-0 win over New Edubiase to lift the Super Cup on Sunday.
Wat is wrong with these players and Ghanaian teams. How can u let one of your most priced assets go for a paltry sum like this.Especially when you need the most experienced in Champs League…smh…We must stop crying for trophies with this very silly mentatility!!!!
i agree with u my broda. Hw can a team win d champions league by selling their old players. Look at ahly, tp mazembe nd esperence they dont sell their players 2 big european clubs despite d offer dats why they r able 2 win d champions league. Gh clubs shld learn from them
