Daniel Nii Adjei close to new Kotoko deal

Daniel Nii Adjei is set to be rewarded with a new bumper deal at Kotoko

Asante Kotoko influential midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei is set to be offered a new bumper deal at the club, GHANAsoccernet.com understands. 

The 23-year-old was crowned the Premier League’s best after sterling performances for the Porcupine Warriors.

The former Power FC enforcer has maintained a consistent performances since he joined the youth set-up of the club in 2007 and officials are keen to tie him down to a new deal to warn off any European pursuit.

“Nii Adjei is happy at Kotoko and our understanding is that management is ready to give him a good pay cheque for him to stay,” a source close to the player told GHANAsoccernet.com

“He is also ready to stay and play in the Caf Champions League. He wants to be part of history of this great club.

“His commitment to the club is unrivalled,”

The marvelous midfield display of the 23-year-old has been touted as the one of the reasons why the Porcupine Warriors clinched their 21st  League title.

    From the look of things, if this guy goes outside Ghana there will be no way he is going to sit on bench cos he’s matured already. Unlike those who play only one or two seasons and they’re off to seek for greener pastures. We leave to see those so-call goal scorers who are so eager to leave the shores of Ghana.
