Asante Kotoko influential midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei is set to be offered a new bumper deal at the club, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.
The 23-year-old was crowned the Premier League’s best after sterling performances for the Porcupine Warriors.
The former Power FC enforcer has maintained a consistent performances since he joined the youth set-up of the club in 2007 and officials are keen to tie him down to a new deal to warn off any European pursuit.
“Nii Adjei is happy at Kotoko and our understanding is that management is ready to give him a good pay cheque for him to stay,” a source close to the player told GHANAsoccernet.com
“He is also ready to stay and play in the Caf Champions League. He wants to be part of history of this great club.
“His commitment to the club is unrivalled,”
The marvelous midfield display of the 23-year-old has been touted as the one of the reasons why the Porcupine Warriors clinched their 21st League title.
From the look of things, if this guy goes outside Ghana there will be no way he is going to sit on bench cos he’s matured already. Unlike those who play only one or two seasons and they’re off to seek for greener pastures. We leave to see those so-call goal scorers who are so eager to leave the shores of Ghana. I pity them sefffff.
GA MANTSE PAPAPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
A good step to the right direction. All good and loyal players must be rewarded with mouth watering offers to stay. So that Ghanaian league would be much improved.
Marvelous!!! This is the sweetest stuff I want our guys to be doing. You are on your way to becoming a legend. But did I see 23? Damn you guys and soccer administrators must stop this. He is far older than that. Ahhh!!!
Did Nii Adjei played 4 Power FC? I remember Kotoko signed him 4m Anokye Stars.
