Dabuo hails All Stars penalty save

Posted On Sunday, 6th January 2013

Robert Dabuo has hailed All Stars' show at Kpando

Wa All Stars goalkeeper Robert Dabuo has hailed his side’s resilience after holding Heart of Lions to a one-all stalemate at Kpando on Saturday.

The Local Black Stars goalkeeper pulled a wonderful stop to deny Nana Agyiri a 78th minute clincher from the spot after Edem Kodjo had pulled the home side on level terms after Siedu Salifu’s opener for the visitors.

Dabuo, 23, hailed his penalty save and also sharply criticised officiating by referee Silas Okine.

“I knew I was going to make the save and I did and I’m very happy that we finished with a point here,” he said in the post match interview.

“The officiating wasn’t that okay but we managed to squeeze out a draw and we are happy we finished with a point,” he added.

All Stars are still pecked in 13th place despite the away point.
