Jordan Ayew will stay at Marseille at least until January after the French club turned down a late offer from Crystal Palace to sign the Ghanaian striker, insiders have told GHANAsoccernet.com.

This comes after the French giants had rejected offers from English club West Brom as well as deal from rivals Bastia and Sochaux.

The English side Palace slapped in a late offer on Monday to sign the son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele until the end of the season joining a host of clubs seeking the signature of the attacker.

"He's (Jordan Ayew) is going to stay at Marseille," a Marseille insider told GHANAsoccernet.com.

It was thought Ayew could end up at Bastia on a season-long loan deal but the offer was rejected by Marseille before Crystal Palace joined the race.

The Marseille striker was a transfer target of the French Ligue 1 outfit as he lacks playing time at the Stade Velodrome side.

But since the talks with Bastia for the signature of the 21-year-old Ghanaian collapsed, Palace came in with an offer hours before the transfer deadline expired.

That offer was also turned down by Marseille leaving Ayew with the option of staying until January when the transfer window opens.

Ayew has been a transfer target of West Bromwich Albion as the English outfit looked poised to land the Ghanaian but that too was turned down.

He has also been linked with Saint-Etienne.
