Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson is unsure when he will return to action after undergoing test on a knee injury on Monday.

The 23-year-old strong centre-back suffered the knock during the side’s 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday.

The CHAN star fears he could be out for an ‘indefinite’ period due to severe pains in his knee.

“I suffered an injury and can’t tell when I will be fully fit,” he said

“I feel a lot of pain but I’m hoping I can recover quickly to help my club.

“I wish I could even play today but the pain is unbearable at the moment. I don’t when I will fee better, but I hoping it will be soon.”

Ainooson has formed a strong partnership with Kwabena Adusei at the back since he arrived from New Edubiase at the start of the season.

He impressed heavily during the 2014 Championship of African Nations tournament in South Africa.
