Defender Jonathan Mensah is ‘gutted’ to be missing Ghana’s friendly match against Mali on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old will not be in action for the Black Stars having picked up an injury in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Senegal.

The injury saw the Evian TG man miss the side’s training sessions in the lead up to Tuesday’s game against Mali.

Mensah who has been a mainstay in the Ghana defence in recent times expressed his immense disappointment to be missing the friendly clash through injury.

“Gutted I can’t play tonight, Good luck to the team,” the defender Tweeted.

Ghana will be hoping to bounce back from the defeat suffered against Senegal by securing a positive result in Tuesday’s clash with Mali.

Black Stars coach Avram Grant has however stressed he is more concerned by the output of his team than the result in friendly matches.
