Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko is continuing his rehabilitation at his Turkish side Eskisehirspor who have begun pre-season training.

He underwent a successful ankle surgery in Miami last month after twisting his fibula in Ghana’s pre-World Cup warm-up against the Netherlands.

The centre-back landed awkwardly on his left ankle rupturing his fibula and was ruled out of the World Cup.

Akaminko posted on his Twitter page: “Back in Turkey. A bit of work in the pool. Rehabilitation going well. Can’t wait to start running again.”

The 26-year-old made 28 appearances for Eskisehirspor last season in the Super Lig.

Speedy recovery now is obvious that the black star central defends is for jerry akaminko and issac Vorsah , awal mohammed ,yayah mohammed, edward kpodo. These are tall ,strong and tactically sound defenders ghanaians can rely on since our koobi coach lied to the whole world that ghanaians are short people and as such we don’t have tall defenders in the country infact I was so sad after the press conference .john boye is a good defender but due to his height a tactically sound coach will used him at the right back of the defends as Nigerian coach used embrose a central defender at Celtic as right back during the afcon and world cup and he excelled good another example is Ivanonic of Chelsea team. To your information john boye started in Renes as right fullback so he will not find it very difficult to play that role
