Injured Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy claims he will be available for selection next week.

McCarthy twisted his ankle two weeks ago in their 3-1 loss at Liberty Professionals in the First Capital Plus Premier League.

Scans revealed there was no fracture and that has come as a huge relief to the former national team goalkeeper.

“I am recovering and the initial fears have been silenced,” McCarthy told GHANASoccernet.com

“I should be ready to go by next week and am so glad I didn’t break anything in my leg.

“Once the swelling is down am good to go.”

Mccarthy is expected to sit out the game against Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday but could be in line to start against Bechem United at home.
