Injured Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is confident Ghana will scale over Malawi in the final round return leg 2013 Nations Cup qualifier on Saturday.
The Udinese player is said to have suffered a knee injury after helping the Little Zebras to a 3-2 win at Liverpool in the UEFA Europa League last Thursday.
Agyemang-Badu missed the Black Stars’ 2-0 win over Malawi in the first leg match of the qualifier in Accra due to a back problem.
The box-to-box midfielder is gutted he will sit out and believes his international teammates will make it a 19th appearance at the Nations Cup.
“I got some pain after the game and had a scan on Friday. It is some small problem with the knee,” Badu said.
“I know the guys will make Ghana proud and I wish them the best of luck.”
Agyemang-Badu will be examined by Udinese’s medical staff later on Sunday to determine the extent of his injury and how long he will be out.
