CotonSports Garoua coach Robert Boivin has hailed his team’s gallant performance against Chelsea and insists his men hold the aces in the return fixture.
The Cameroonian league leaders put up an excellent defensive play with goalkeeper Fiedjou Loic emerging as the hero for his side with some magnificent saves to keep the attackers of Chelsea at bay as the game grinded out to a pulsating goalless draw game.
The Blues will travel to Garoua in two weeks time for the second leg fixture knowing only a positive result will land them in the group phase of the CAF Champions League for the first time.
But CotonSports French tactician Boivin is optimistic his men will dump the Blues out of the competition.
“I am very satisfied with the performance of my team and their level of energy. They were tactically disciplined and that worked for us,” Boivin said.
“Chelsea is a strong side and they will prove a big problem for us but I believe in my men ahead of the second leg.
“I believe we can qualify to the group stage,”
be careful b’cos an away goal at camaroon can ruin yr team to the confed cup
Coach, because of what you have said God will help Berekum Chelsea to qualify in your own back yard in Jesus name Amen.
I think camerounians have a way of dealing with our national teams and even club sides.God is surely a ghanaian, chelsea will come out unhurt eventhough the name is unafrican.
