Posted On Tuesday, 12th June 2012

Shield is the title sponsors of the National Player Award

The maiden Shield National Player Awards has received tremendous support from corporate Ghana.

Shield Acrylic Emulsion Paint has been confirmed as the title sponsors of the grand-occasion on June 22.

Other Ghanaian corporate organizations including Guinness Ghana Limited, Lizzy Sports Complex have made varied donations to the organizers of the awards ceremony.

Cave and Gardens will serve as the official wine drink for the occasion, with renowned travel and tour agency, African Origin Travel and Tours expected to oversee the travelling arrangement of invited dignitaries.

Everpure will provide water while Finatrade, an umbrella body for various food and service products on the Ghanaian market have also provided  logistical support.

The awards being organized by Proton Sports Services under the auspices of the Ghana FA and the Retired Players Association of Ghana (RENFAG) is aimed at honouring individuals who have played for the nation at various levels including the womens teams.

The current generation of national team players will also receive awards at the maiden event.

The awards scheme feeds into the Ghana FA’s idea of acknowledging and rewarding past national stars who are unfortunately facing difficult times.
