Striker Ahmed Toure still harbours the ambition of playing for Hearts of Oak after ditching them to go sign for rivals Asante Kotoko.

The 27-year-old was in line to make a sensational move to the Phobians a few months back only to make an astonishing U-turn to re-join Asante Kotoko.

Toure even played and scored in a friendly for Hearts to alert several clubs – including Kotoko – of his immense potential.

Toure rode on the wave to go sign again for Asante Kotoko – leaving Hearts in the cold in the process.

But the Ivorian striker maintains his move to Kotoko was purely business and that he will in future play for the Phobians

“I went to Hearts of Oak because I wanted to play for them, and I showed it in the matches I played as I played my hearts out,” he said.

“But along the line negotiations broke down and I found myself in Kotoko.

“It wasn’t a deliberate action, but like I said earlier, I am a businessman and will go along with any Club that will satisfy my terms.”

“But I still have ambition for playing for Hearts of Oak and I believe that I will officially sign for them one day.

“But for now, I am going to give my all to Asante Kotoko.”
