Football administrator Takyi Arhin has ripped into the hierarchy of the Ghana Football Association following its decision to dispense with the services of coach Kwesi Appiah.

The firebrand described the decision as infantile, childish, diabolic and lacking the element of common sense.

The Ghana Football Association announced on Friday it had reached an agreement with the coach to part ways.

“Looking at the decision, I think that it is infantile and childish. It is also diabolic such that it does not move in tandem with common sense,” he said.

“It smacks off mischief because they knew the coach’s contract had expired ahead of the World Cup in Brazil and yet renewed it when they knew they didn’t need him.

“They have caused financial loss to the State because his compensation has to be paid from the public purse.”

He added that: “I am struggling to come to terms as to why that decision, especially if in his new 2-year deal, he had been tasked to guide the team to secure qualification for the AFCON 2015 Championships and win it as well, only to be axed when he is actually on course, after bagging 4 points out of 6. How do you expect any rational and right-thinking being to understand this decision.’’
