![]() Kingson is pray for Ghana win today The Black Stars were robbed of the experience of the combative Chelsea midfielder who could only came on as a second half substitute in last Friday's 3-1 defeat to Ivory Coast. Ghana have been reduced to a mere ordinary side after news that Essien will miss the rest of the tournament due to a knee injury. The Wigan goalkeeper sounds optimistic that young looking Black Stars can pick-up without their key player ahead of Tuesday's clash against Burkina. "We all know that Michael Essien is a very good and strong player and we are going to miss him in the game but all the same we are going to play as a team so I hope any player who replaces him is going to play is heart out and play as a team and win," Kingson said. Ghana's Nations Cup campaign has been plagued with injuries but Kingson, playing in his fifth Cup finals, added his teammates are upbeat. "The morale in camp is high and we can't be disturbed by that. We can continue to complain when we have a difficult assignment ahead. We need a win and we are prepared." Ghana will be bundled out of the tournament if they fail to win. |
