Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has been talking up his chances with the Black Stars after an impresseive full debut for the team in last Wednesday's international friendly against Angola.

 

The 19-year-old stood in for Chelsea ace Michael Essien in the offensive midfield role that ensured the Black Stars goalless against the Palancas Negras in Luanda.

 

The Black Satellites player earnd rave reviews at the Cidadela stadium after remains confident of picking a slot in the 23-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

 

"It was a great chances for me and I am glad I did not disapoint," Badu said. "I think that the coach was impressed with my performance but you know he is the coach and he has the final say."

 

"It is was a good feeling having a full chance with the Black Stars for the first time and I feel proud of myself because it is not easy to play for the national team with all the quality available.

 

"I am still training hard to break into the team which has big names like Essien, Sulley Gyan, Appiah, Annan and the rest of the guys."
