The right-back has expressed his confidence of winning a place in first team after coming close last season under Juande Ramos.
Opare trained with senior side but sustained a foot injury before the exercise ended to shut his dreams.
Real have made four major signings- Raul Albiol, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema- and more are expected to arrive at the Bernabeu.
It is believed that the Perez’s misplaced faith in the youth could mean very little hope for the 19-year-old.
But the 19-year-old says it is too early to predict the future.
“We all know what he’s (Florentino Perez) capable of doing but it doesn’t mean I don’t have a future at the club,” Opare told Ghanasoccernet.com
“Big names are coming to the club but the pre-season will tell. If you look at my position, no player has been bought and I have confident that if it remains the same, I have a chance.”
“I know people think me going to Real Madrid is a mistake but I speak to a lot of people- Essien, Muntari and co who guide me. I am confident I will succeed.”
Opare is currently on holidays in Ghana and he is fighting hard to make the grades to the World Youth Championship after missing on the African edition due to injury.
“I trained with them when I came back and the rest is up to the coaches. If I fit into their plans I know I will be selected,” he added.
“I want to play the World Cup and I will do my best to break into the team because there’re a lot of good players there.” |
