Ghana international William Tiero has expressed his desire to move out of Portugal this summer after spending two seasons at Académica de Coimbra.
The 29-year-old has attracted
interest from French side Bordeaux and Portuguese giants Benfica after
an impressive two year stint in Portugal.
Reports also claim some clubs in the Gulf have inquired about the availability of the former Liberty Professionals player.
Tiero who got 25 starts last term, has a year left on his current contract.
But club manager Rogério Gonçalves is eager to tie him down to another
permanent deal after he played a key role in the team's seventh place
in the league.
He told Ghanasoccernet: ''A host of clubs are chasing me but my club
wants me to stay. But I still have a year on my contract and will
respect that, but sometimes you never know.
"I will not rule out the possibility of playing for a club outside
Portugal because I like challenges and as a player you must always
welcome new test."
Tiero earned his 50th cap for Académica de Coimbra on the final match day last term.
