Asamoah Gyan scored a brace for Al Ain in the UAE Pro League on Saturday to increase his season tally to 14 in 10 game while Michael Essien also completed his first 90 minutes for Chelsea in the EPL. 

Emmanuel Banahene rediscovered his scoring boot by scoring in the Turkish second-tier league on Saturday while Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah scored his first goal in the French top-flight for Evian TG in their 1-1 draw with Stade Reims on Saturday.

Michael Essien was impressive for Chelsea and lasted the full 90 minutes of the game for the Blues when they beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at the Stamford Bridge.

Emmanuel Frimpong failed to make the Arsenal team when they suffered a 6-3 defeat against Man City at the Etihad Stadium.

Derek Boateng was axed from the Fulham first team squad when they lost 4-1 at Everton.

In the Npower Championship, Albert Adomah played the full 90 minutes for Middlesbrough when they suffered a 1-0 home loss to Brighton and Hove Albion at the Riverside.

Bernard Mensah failed to make the Watford first team grades in their 1-0 home loss to Sheffield United.

Jeffrey Schulpp came off the Leicester City bench to play the last 7 minutes of the game in their 1-1 draw with Burnley.

TURKEY

Defender Jerry Akaminko played the entire 90 minutes of the game for Eski?ehirspor in a 1-1 away draw with Kayserispor.

Elsewhere in the Lig 2, Emmanuel Banahene scored in the 55th minute and set up a 90th minute goal for ?anl?urfaspor who won 2-0 at Adanaspor.

Kwame Karikari played the entire regulation time for Bal?kesirspor when they lost 3-0 at Manisaspor.

Former AshGold striker Shaibu Yakubu came off the bench to play 13 minutes for 1461 Trabzon who lost 3-2 against Kahramanmara?spor.

UAE

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan scored a double for Al Ain and inspired them to a 5-1 win over bottom-placed Al Shaab in the Emirates Pro League.

Emmanuel Clottey dropped to the bench and was not involved in Al Dhafra's 3-2 loss to FC Dubai.

ITALY

Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah lasted the entire 90 minutes of the game and helped Juventus to hammer Sassuolo 4-0 at the Juventus Arena.

Isaac Cofie sat on the Genoa bench when they drew 1-1 with Atalanta on Sunday afternoon.

Sampdoria managed to beat Chievo Verona 1-0 at their own backyard. Ghana winger Maxwell Acosty was unused and sat on the bench in the entire duration of the game.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu warmed the Udinese bench in their 2-0 home loss to Torino. Talented youngster Emmanuel Gyasi was not in the Torino.

Ghana youth midfielder Alfred Duncan was booked in the 74th minute when he played full time for Livorno who suffered a 2-0 defeat at Lazio.

Afriyie Acquah lasted the entire 90 minutes of the game for Parma who were held to a 0-0 draw by Cagliari.

AC Milan loanee Kingsley Boateng sat on the Catania bench in their 0-0 draw with Verona.

In the Serie B, Masahudu Alhassan was in action for Latina when they lost 3-2 to Crotone with ten men.

Mase Nana Addo Welbeck and Isaac Ntwo were both on the Brescia bench when they posted a 1-0 win over Modena. Fiorentina loanee Amidu Salifu was not in the Modena team.

Fiorentina loanee Nii Nortey Ashong was on the Spezia bench when they suffered a 4-0 loss against Varese.

NETHERLANDS

In the Eredivisie league, Tema-born former Dutch youth striker Fred Benson played full throttle for PEC Zwolle when they lost 2-1 Heerenveen.

Defender Mitch Apau was a pillar in defence for RKC Waalwijk when they won 2-1 at ADO Den Haag.

FC Twente inched closer to the top of the table after a beating Go Ahead Eagles 3-1. Gifted Ghanaian midfielder Shadrach Eghan played 63 minutes for Twente but full-back Kodjo Amevor was unused by Go Ahead Eagles.

Christian Atsu played a crucial role for Vitesse Arnhem in their 3-2 win over NAC Breda. The former FC Porto whizkid lasted the full 90 minutes of the game.

Jeffrey Sarpong also played full time for NAC Breda.

Elvis Manu could not make the first team grades for Feyenoord who beat Groningen 1-0. Defender Johan Kappelhof played in central defence for Groningen.

Heracles Almelo handed AZ Alkmaar their third straight defeat in the Eredivisie after beating them 2-0. Midfielder Kwame Quansah was dropped to the bench while Edwin Gyasi and striker Matthew Amoah were axed from the team.

Memphis Depay scored twice for PSV Eindhoven in their 5-1 win over FC Utrecht.

In the second-tier league, Patrick Amoah lasted till the hour mark for Fortuna Sittard when they beat FC Eindhoven 3-1.

Striker Jonathan Opoku came off the bench to play 13 minutes for Oss who lost 5-1 to Sparta Rotterdam.

GERMANY

Black Stars midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng played an influential role for Schalke 04 when they defeated Freiburg 2-0 to restore their winning run.

Karim Bellarabi picked an injury and was replaced just 20 minutes into the game by Eintracht Braunschweig who were beaten 4-1 by Augsburg.

Charles Takyi was introduced 23 minutes from time by Energie Cottbus who lost 3-1 to Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Arminia Bielefeld boosted their season with a 4-1 win over leaders Greuther Fruth. German-born Marcel Appiah played at right-back for Bielefeld while Baba Rahman came off the bench to play for Furth.

Attacker Phil Ofosu-Aryeh played the full 90 minutes for MSV Duisburg who shared the spoils with Wacker Burghausen in a 1-1 draw.

Frederick Kyereh lasted 72 minutes for Elversberg who lost 1-0 against Hansa Rostock.

Erich Berko saw the full 90 minutes of action for Stuttgart II when they lost 1-0 to Darmstadt 98.

Evans Nyarko played in midfield for Borussia Dortmund II in their 2-1 home loss to Osnabrück.

FRANCE

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah scored his first goal in the French top-flight for Evian TG when they drew 1-1 with Stade Reims.

Jordan Ayew started the match for Olympique Marseille when they clashed with rivals Lyon on Sunday evening in a 2-2 draw.

In the Ligue 2, Kwame Nsor played the first 45 minutes for Metz when they lost 4-2 toTours.

Caen moved fifth on the table after hammering CA Bastia 5-1. AS Monaco loanee Dennis Appiah lasted 74 minutes for Caen.

SPAIN

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom played 78 minutes for Elche FC when they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Levante in the La Liga on Friday.

Granada FC moved to tenth place after beating Rayo Vallecano 2-0 at their own backyard. Ghanaian youth midfielder Fatau Mohammed was not in the Granada FC team.

In the Segunda B, Ghanaian midfielder Jacob Nii Martey Akrong  warmed the CD Guadalajara when they lost 1-0 to Melilla.

Neither Clifford Aboagye, Fatau Mohammed nor Richard Boateng was in the Granada CF II team when they drew 1-1 with El Palo.

Nana Asare helped Atletico Madrid II team to draw 1-1 against Sestao River.

Ghana youth midfielder Paul Quaye played full throttle for Espanyol II but could not help them avoid a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Valencia II.

Michael Anaba was in action for Elche II in their 1-1 draw with Reus Deportiu.

BELGIUM

Abraham Kudemor was not in action for Sporting Charleroi when they drew 2-2 with Club Brugge who had former Ghana U17 midfielder Enock Adu Kofi on their bench.

Daniel Opare lasted the entire 90 minutes for Standard Liege who beat KRC Genk 3-1. Ghanaian midfielder Bennard Kumordzi played 68 minutes for Genk.

Marvin Ofori-Appiah warmed the bench for Genk.

Frederick Boi was an unused substitute by Cercle Brugge who beat Mons 2-1.

Former Lille defender Jerry Vandam was a full-timer for KV Mechelen who drew 0-0 with Waasland-Beveren. Attacker Abdul Yakinu-Iddi missed the game with injury.

In the Second Division, Stephen Asamoah played 90 minutes and helped AS Eupen to beat White Star 1-0.
