Yusif Abubakar has vehemently denied media reports that suggest he’s been appointed as the new coach of Berekum Chelsea.
The Blues are in the market looking for a substantive trainer following the appointment of Hans Vander Pluijm as the club’s new technical director.
The 2010 Ghanaian champions must find a permanent coach in time ahead of the start of the upcoming season on October 7.
The assistant Medeama trainer who has been stronghly linked with the vacant position insists he is in the dark over the purpoted move.
“I want to place on record that I have not signed for Berekum Chelsea or for that matter any other club,” Abubakar said
“I am still the assistant coach for Medeama. I have a contract with the club and therefore untrue that Chelsea have signed me.
“Many clubs have been talking to me but like I said I have not signed for any club.
“I respect all the clubs in the country but I also respect my contractual obligation to Medeama.
Chelsea have boosted their ranks with the acquisition of three returnees Eric Bekoe, Sadick Adams and Thai-based Evans Mensah.
