Renowned Ghanaian coach Isaac 'Opeele' Boateng says defender Daniel Opare has got the qualities to mark out Cristiano Ronaldo at the 2014 World Cup finals.

Ghana will face Portugal in their final Group G match in Brasilia on 26 June and the talk has been about who stop the in-form Real Madrid ace.

Opeele, likened to Jose Mourinho because of his acid tongue and in-depth of the game , believes that responsibility can be taken care of by Opare, who plays for Belgian Pro League side Standard Liege.

"I have watched videos of Ronaldo and with critical looks, it is Daniel Opare who can put the brakes on him," Opele, former Asante Kotoko coach, told myjoyonline.

"Opare is very stubborn on the pitch and on one-on-one situation with Ronaldo, he can out-fox and out-box him."

"Opare is a very hard tackler of the ball and that is why he stopped Mohammed Salah when Ghana played against Egypt."

"All he needs to work on is his acceleration and heading of the ball."

Opare is a natural right-back but can play on the left side too.
