Coach Mas-Ud Dramani says he is unaware of the reported multiple player exodus from Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors have reportedly agreed to let go of at least six first team players who were integral in the side’s successful Premier League defence last season.

Michael Akuffo, Jordan Opoku, Seidu Bancey, Issa Yakubu, Kwabena Edusei, Abdul Aziz Yusif and Joseph Ochaya are all said to be on their way out of the club.

Goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye has also been released by the club according to reports.

The reported mass exodus leaves Kotoko very thin going into the new season.

But coach Mas-Ud Dramani says he is only aware of the transfer of striker Seidu Bancey – meaning he has been kept totally in the dark about the reported exits of the other players.

“I don’t really know the number of players, who have left Kotoko, but I only know of Seidu Bancey,” he told Metro FM.

“A club has written to us for his services and even there he is going for medicals, which doesn’t mean the deal has been sealed.”

Kotoko have resolved to player sales in order to mitigate the huge financial challenges faced with the club.

They however need to go into the local transfer market to find adequate replacements once their influential players make the reported move.
