Berekum Chelsea's defense has been a source of worry

Veteran trainer JE Sarpong has warned Berekum Chelsea to be wary of their defensive frailties ahead of their Caf Champions League against Zamalek.
The Ghanaians are desperate to put themselves in a pole position to qualify to the semi-final stage of the inter-club competition after they slipped at home gainst Al Ahly two weeks ago.
The Blues have been deadly upfront with striker Emmanuel Clottey grabbing 12 goals but have also been woeful at the back after conceding 9 goals in four matches.
The ex-Liberty Professionals tactician says such poor defensive network could prove disastrous for their campaign.
“I believe they are doing well but the truth of the matter is that the defense is a problem and that must be looked at,” Sarpong said
“You cannot win a competition like the Caf Champions League when you continue to concede at will like that,”
“I don’t know why they always concede first before coming back. Zamalek are out but will want to end with some pride and so they are not going to be chicken feed,”
“If they want to win, they must watch the back because it is a problem.”
Chelsea’s Dutch trainer Hans Vander Pluijm will have to find solution to his porous defensive network ahead of the fixture on Saturday at the Cairo Military stadium.
A win for Chelsea will put them in the stead to qualify to the semi-finals going into their last encounter against TP Mazembe at home.
The Egyptian giants are out of contention after suffering four defeats in a row.
