Coach Amissah seals return to Mighty Jets

Posted On Wednesday, 11th April 2012

By Ameenu Shardow

Jonas Amissah returns to Mighty Jets just six months after quitting the club as head coach.

The ex-Bofoakwa Tano coach resigned after being demoted to the reserves after a string of poor results in the Ghanaian topflight.

But struggling Jets have decided to re-engage Amissah’s services following the sacking of Foster Alhassan last week.

Amissah who was recently fired by second tier club King Faisal emerged the preferred choice amongst available candidates and officials hope his return will serve the needed impetus in their fight against the drop.

“This is like a family reunion and we are happy to have him (Amissah) back,” Mighty Jets’ Administrative Manager James Oyedeji said.

The Tudu-based club are just one point above the relegation zone with seven matches left to go in the Ghana Premier League.
