Clubs are racing to sign Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom- Agent

Posted On Thursday, 3rd January 2013

Samuel Inkoom could be heading to Germany or England

Samuel Inkoom’s agent claims a number of clubs are interested in signing the Ghana international in the January transfer window.

English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion are the latest to join the list of suitors for the right-back cum winger.

Hamburg coach Thorsten Fink, who worked with the 23-year-old at Swiss side FC Basel, wants to bring him to the Bundesliga.

Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon are also reported to be interested in the former Kotoko player.

The versatile defender has been inactive this season at his Ukranian side FC Dnipro after falling out with coach Juande Ramos.

“Samuel is definitely not happy with his situation in Dnipro, which is not acceptable for a player of his calibre,” Christian Emile told Sky Sports.

“We are talking about a very talented young player who has already represented Ghana over 30 times.

“It is clear that the only solution for Samuel now is to move to a European club where he will play an important role and achieve success.”

Inkoom failed to make Ghana’s squad for this month’s Nations Cup finals in South Africa.

Eeeiii Youngman , give thanks to God! We pray that Dnipro would not put stones and boulders across your path! Like I said, you are now ready for promotion to a much better League! Apart from that, your former coach at Basel (now Hamburg) would be all too glad to have you back, let’s hope they make the deal! All the best!!!
