Ghana striker Emmanuel Clottey was voted the Most Valuable Player after helping Al Dhafra to win the annual AlDhafra International Tournament last Tuesday night.
The UAE top flight side were 4-3 winners over El Merreikh in the match that had to be delayed due to Ramadan (the Holy month of fasting for Muslims).
Former Ghana U20 star Kassenu Ghandy opened the scoring to edge Merreikh ahead after 19 minutes.
But Kamel Chafni levelled in the 28th minute only to fall behind again a minute after through Kelechi Osunwa.
Ali Abaas again levelled for Al Dhafra in the second half but the side again fell behind within two minutes with Osunwa grabbing a brace.
Chafni however stroked his magic wand to score in quick succession not only to grab a hat trick but also to help his side to victory.
It was however Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Clottey that caught the eye of match assessors with his all-round performance.
The 25-year-old was voted the Most Valuable player and handed his prize at the trophy and medal presentation ceremony after the match.
