CK Akunnor has taken full responsibility for Hearts defeat to Dwarfs on Saturday
Hearts coach CK Akunnor has taken the blame for his side’s 3-1 defeat to Ebusua Dwarfs over the weekend.
Dwarfs, playing away from home produced a stunning performance at the Tema sports stadium to silence the capital-based club.
Goals from John Arthur, Prince Appiah and subsitutue Bright Lukeman were enough to give the Cape Coast based-side the maximum points.
Coach Akunnor has taken full responsibility for his side’s unimpressive display and looks ahead to make amends against All Stars on Wednesday.
“The players were not motivated enough and I don’t know why,” Akunnor said
“We are very disappointed with the result and I am respondible for that.
“We have to look ahead to our next game on Wednesday.”
Hearts will next play All Stars at home in mid-week.
But CK, sincerely speaking Hearts is too big a club for you. Whiles a successful player & captain of the Black stars,in terms of coaching laurels you have nothing to show but the Hearts hierachy made you their coach. We are all watching & waiting to see if you deserve to be were you. Even as a player you did not play for Hearts.. Were are the Polos and the rest?
I seriously feel its too early to be judging the coach. And the fact that he never played for Hearts doesn’t mean he can’t be a success. The end justifies the means. I believe he is still learning, and if Phobians are patient, and make him a bona fide Hearts property, he would emulate Sir Jones. Last Saturday, the team was torn apart by a better team, as simple as that. If the players learn, they can conquer the rest. Long Live Phobia!
Its too early to start judging C.K and the team’s performance in general, we shall bounce back strongly starting from the game against Wa All Stars on Wednesday.
