CK Akunnor pleads for fans' patience

Coach CK Akunnor is under intense pressure at Hearts

By Patrick Akoto

CK Akunnor has urged fans to give the new-look Hearts side time to gel following their disappointing start to the season.

Hearts lost their third consecutive match of the season after going down 2-0 at Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

The club have struggled to meet expectations of their fans despite making some major signing in the off-season.

They were booed off the pitch by few of their frustrated and angry supporters in attendance at the Golden City Park after another nondescript performance.

But the former Ghana captain who has come under intense pressure to quit his post is pleading with the fans to keep faith with the team.

“It is a difficult situation we find ourselves and so I will just plead with the fans to be patient with us,” Akunnor said

“We want to win every game but it’s unfortunate things are not going as planned. But this is football and anything can happen.

“It’s important we go back to the drawing board to see what has gone wrong and try to make the necessary corrections.

“Like I said, I will just urge the fans to be calm and continue to support and pray for us. I believe the results they are looking for will start coming.”

Hearts will take on Real Tamale United at home on November 4.

Hmmmmmmmmm, it is quiet unfortunate that things are turning towards the wrong side. Wishing my Darling Club all the best.I nkow that everything is going to be alright.

  3. SETH says:

Sacking CK won’t solve our problems. To me he is a good coach. Our poor performance should be placed at the door step of Fred Crenstil who engineered the sacking of experienced players like ”NZAMABA, SEFA and BOIE ANSAH from the club……………..

  4. Maxwell Johnson says:

Spot on Seth, I second you 100% bro. That TWERP of a C.E.O ( Fred Crentsil) supervised bad recruitment and also engineered the axing of so many experience players in the team, how unfair. Nothing good has ever happened to the club ever since he assumed office, I still believe in C.K. even if we loose another 3 games in a row, this is football. The Oak tree shall rise again, PHOOOOOOOOOOBIA!!!!!
