Black Stars winger Christian Atsu played a hugely influential role for Vitesse Arnhem who emphasized their superiority over PSV Eindhoven this season by hammering them 6-2 in the Dutch top-flight league on Saturday.

The Chelsea loanee was among the best performers at the Philips Arena for Vitesse - setting up Mike Havenaar in the 66th minute, as they polished their wonderful season with a glistening display, resurrecting from a Memphis Depay first-half added-time leveller to claim their biggest win of the season so far.

Atsu was picked by Vitesse manager Peter Bosz as he held down his place on the flanks, playing along side fellow Chelsea loanee Lucas Piazon who scored a 38th minute opener.

With the leaders ahead thanks to Lucas Piazon's opener, PSV salvage their dignity with Dutch-born Ghanaian Memphis Depay levelling the scoring with a trademark finish on the stroke of half-time.

But there was more they could not contain after the break - It was Atsu who began the entire humiliation operation at the 33,000 packed Arena.

The former FC Porto youngster was venomous on the right wing as he bombed forward, sharply beating off two challenges before laying down a crossfield pass for Havenaar - the Japanese international, to bury the ball home to put Vitesse 2-1 upfront.

Nine minutes later, Leerdam scored the third, then Pröpper - ten minutes later, van Aanholt 87th before Pröpper registered his brace in the 93rd minute.
