Christian Atsu set to profit from Kevin Mirallas' injury at Everton
Kevin Mirallas feared out for four weeks

Ghana winger Christian Atsu could be the major beneficiary of the hamstring injury suffered by Everton forward Kevin Mirallas.

The Belgian pulled up 30 minutes into the weekend’s Merseyside derby against Liverpool.

Mirallas’ injury will come as a massive blow to Everton as he has already contributed three goals this season.

The misfortune to the Belgian could however be a blessing to Ghana winger Christian Atsu who has so far struggled to get into the side.

The 22-year-old has made just two appearances for the Blues since his loan arrival from Chelsea despite being a regular with the Black Stars.

The ex FC Porto man is expected to blossom under Roberto Martinez but needs games to develop his vast potential.

The injury to Mirallas could therefore count as a blessing as it makes it easier for him to get into the Everton starting lineup.
