Ghana winger Christian Atsu is delighted to have snatched the match-winner in the 3-2 win over Togo in their Group E Africa Cup of Nations winner on Wednesday.
The Chelsea-owned player, who is on loan at English side Everton, scored in the 86th minute after racing with a loose ball into the box before placing it past the Togo goalkeeper.
Atsuââ¬â¢s goal was registered five minutes after Emmanuel Adebayor had levelled for the Hawks with a powerful header.
He posted on his Twitter page: ââ¬ÅSo proud to have scored the winner today. Thanks for all your support.ââ¬
It was Togo who opened the scoring on 11 minutes through Floyd Ayite and captain Asamoah Gyan equalized on the 24th minute mark.
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu gave Ghana a 2-1 lead with a fine header ten minutes later before the half-time whistle.
