Ghana winger Christian Atsu traveled with his Everton teammates on Wednesday to Russia for their Europa League clash against Kuban Krasnodar.

The 22-year-old shared a picture on his Instragram page on board a flight with his club teammates; Samuel Eto’o and Romelu Lukaku on their way to Krasnodar.

Atsu is expected to start for the Blues on Thursday night following the injury to Kevin Mirallas over the weekend against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.

This will mean the ex FC Porto man will come up against his Ghanaian compatriot Rabiu Mohammed when he faces Kuban Krasnodar on Thursday night.

The Europa League gives the on-loan Chelsea player a unique opportunity to make yet another statement of his immense potential.

A win for Roberto Martinez’s side will preserve their 100 percent start to their European campaign following their opening day win over Wolfsburg.
