Christian Atsu came off the bench to play against Wolfsburg

Black Stars winger Christian Atsu could not get the desirable game time on Thursday night as he came off the bench in the last seven minutes as Everton recorded a crucial away win over Wolfsburg in the Uefa Europa League.

The 22-year-old Chelsea loanee climbed out of the dug-out to replace Belgian international Kevin Mirallas in the 83rd minute at the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA.

Before Atsu's introduction, Mirallas and Lukaku had assisted each other and scored in either halves to win the game for the English Premier League side.

Atsu's playing time at Everton has been limited to second-half appearances since his arrival from Chelsea on a season-long loan spell.

He has played a total of 70 minutes for Everton in the Premier League since joining before the start of the season.
