An official of Chievo Verona is in town for further talks over the signing of Tema Youth midfielder Moses Odjer, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 16-year-old is being sought after by European teams after an impressive season so far in the Ghanaian top flight.

Fellow Serie-A club Udinese have also made an undisclosed offer for Odjer who is currently with the Ghana U20 team in preparations towards the African Youth Championships.

Verona’s lawyer (name withheld) held advanced discussions with Tema Youth’s Chief Executve Winfred Osei (Palma) on Tuesday.

Figures were tossed around but no agreement was reached.

The Verona official was then driven to the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence in Prampram to see the player train with the Black Satellites.

Tema Youth are holding out for the best possible deal in order to reap the full benefits from the sale of one of their most priced assets.

The Ghana Premier League side are reluctant in selling before next month’s African Youth Championships – where they hope to see Odjer’s stock rise after an expected improved performance in Algeria.
