Chicago Fire head coach Frank Yallop is salivating about the form of Ghana striker after his enchanting performance against New York City FC on Friday night.

Yallop has warned clubs in the Major League Soccer that Accam's best is yet to come.

Accam, who arrived from Helsingborg this season, has not taken long to show MLS his electrifying pace and eye for goal.

He scored his first goal for the Fire after punishing an error from New York debutant goalkeeper Ryan Meara.

The 24-year-old produced a Man-of-the-Match performance in front of a standing-room-only crowd of 19,124 at Toyota Park — one of whom was his national team coach Avram Grant — as the Fire stretched their winning run to three and moved to fourth in the Eastern Conference.

“David is probably not at his best quite yet, I don't think, but he's very exciting obviously, [and] there's a lot more to come from him,” Yallop told reporters at the post-match press conference.

“David's an exciting player, and he's excited to be here. I thought he played fantastic tonight and, you'll have to ask him, but there's still more in him I think. He could be a little more attack-minded.”
