Chelsea win Champions League in front of 160M TV audience

Chelsea won the Champions League in front of global audience of 160 million.

The figure dwarfs the audience of 111million who watched New York Giants beat the New England Patriots in February’s Super Bowl.

UEFA figures show that Chelsea’s clash with Bayern Munich was watched in no fewer than 220 countries.

The number of people who saw any part of the game at all – was around 300million.

Last year’s final, between Barcelona and Manchester United was seen by 178million.
