Chelsea revive push for Ajax fullback Van der Wiel

Chelsea are reviving their interest in Ajax fullback Gregory van der Wiel.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea are keen to strengthen the right-back position, with Paulo Ferreira leaving the club in the summer and Jose Bosingwa also possibly moving on.

Van der Wiel has been a long-term target for Chelsea and is back on the open market after a deal with Valencia fell through.

Real Madrid and Roma are also credited with an interest in the player, who looks certain to leave the Amsterdam Arena once the European Championships are over.
