According to reports in Scotland, Celtic manager Ronny Deila is set to send loanee Mubarak Wakaso back to Rubin Kazan.
Wakaso, has played just 11 times and has had minimal impact to date, scoring just one goal and setting up another.
Deila has clearly settled on a regular starting line-up that works very well and it is no surprise that Wakaso look to be close to a departure.
When you consider the young players coming through the ranks at Celtic Park and the likely additions this summer, extending the loan move or even turning it into permanent transfers makes little sense.
Celtic remain on course for a domestic double this season but the likelihood of  Wakaso getting much game-time in the weeks ahead appears minimal.
