Celtic manager Ronny Deila is hopeful of completing the signing Ghana winger Wakaso Mubarak within days.

Work permit problems prevented the conclusion of a loan deal for Mubarak from Russian side Rubin Kazan before last week's Champions League game against Maribor.

Serbia striker Stefan Scepovic, who is also 24, is another player being targeted by the Scottish giants. He currently with Sporting Gijon in Spain's second tier.

"We hope things will happen this week," Deila told BBC Scotland.

"We're working a lot on this and I think we're going to get things how we want it."

Mubarak has been in Russia's top flight since last summer after spending six years in Spain with Elche, Villareal and Espanyol.

Now the player, who has been capped 19 times for Ghana, is poised to spend the rest of the season at Celtic Park on loan.
