Ghana FA Executive Committee member MNS Does suggests Kwesi Appiah be ââ¬Ësacrificedââ¬â¢ if he refuses to accept the appointment of a technical director in the best interest of the nation.
The GFA is reportedly gearing up to break the news of their intention to appoint someone to supervise the work of the Black Stars coach once he returns from holidays.
There are however rumours that Kwesi Appiah will reject this decision of the Ghana FA and will offer to step down from his post over his fears of interference.
Coach Appiah has since denied these rumours and insists he will not quit his job.
But Ghana FA Ex.Co member who is the chairman of the Central Region FA MNS Doe says Kwesi Appiah will have to be ââ¬Ësacrificedââ¬â¢ if he refuses to give into the Ghana FAââ¬â¢s plans in the best interest of the nation.
ââ¬ÅAssuming I am the one calling the shots and we speak to Kwesi Appiah and tell him this is what we want to do and he doesnââ¬â¢t accept then I am afraid to say that we cannot sacrifice Ghana for Kwesi Appiah but rather Kwesi Appiah for Ghana,â⬠he told Cape Coast based ATL FM.
ââ¬ÅThis is my persona position not that of the FA.ââ¬
Appiah presided over Ghanaââ¬â¢s worst ever performance at the World Cup in Brazil where the Black Stars failed to make it past the group stage.
Several factors have been blamed for Ghanaââ¬â¢s poor showing including the delayed payment of appearance fees to players.
Some however believe the former Black Stars captain is not up to the task and failed to deal with the disciplinary problems within the team that have also been blamed for Ghanaââ¬â¢s early exit.
