The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has launched its new Competitions Management System (CMS) which will be used for next year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN).

The body said the CMS was launched in order to develop and facilitate the management of its competitions with the National Associations.

The information on CAF website stated that: “CAF CMS will manage all the competitions system in general and will combine: Competitions’ fixtures, designations, reports, players and National Associations data.”

“The system will be used to manage all CAF tournaments effective 2014,” the statement added.

CHAN which will hold between January 11th and Febrary 2014 is the first CAF’s major competition next year.

The new system was first introduced to the National Associations during a three-day workshop that started on December 20, 2013 and attended by representatives of each National Association at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
