German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt could move to sign Ghana attacker Samuel Afum in January, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

Frankfurt scouts have watched the 22-year-old since he arrived in the Swiss Super League from Egypt last January and are overly impressed with his output.

Afum's first season in mainland Europe proved hugely successful with Young Boys, the Bern-based side, who acquired him from FC Smouha.

Frankfurt made no major signing during the recent window and manager Armin Veh has penciled down Afum who scored eight times in 17 games for Young Boys last season.

Youngs would resist selling the former Hearts of Oak attacker as manager Uli Forte would like to have the attacker available as his side is likely to qualify for the Uefa Champions League next season.

Mainz 05 and Hoffenheim also had their scouts in the stands at the St Jakob Park when Afum came off the bench to score the opener for Young Boys in their 2-1 reverse at FC Basel.
