Bristol City fans praying for early Ghana AFCON elimination

Posted On Tuesday, 22nd January 2013

Albert Adomah in action in the match against DR Congo

Many Bristol City fans have missed the services of winger Albert Adomah and will be happy if Ghana are eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations.

In his absence, the Robins have failed to register a single goal in three matches.

Adomah could potentially be away for another three weeks if the Black Stars progress to the latter stages of the tournament.

The 25-year-old played for 81 minutes of Sunday’s game against DR Congo which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Ghana are under pressure when they meet Group B leaders Mali in their next fixture on Thursday before engaging Niger next Monday.

If the Black Stars fail to advance, Adomah will be available for selection ahead of the trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday 2 February.

Whoa only you can see tribalism in this. Muntari is ashanti, Emmanuel Frimpong is Ashanti, Frank Acheampong is Ashanti. All of them very good players but they were left out. Kwarasey is from Wa, so is Dauda. Wakaso is a Dagomba, Paintsil is a Fante, Boye, Gyan, etc are all not Ashantis and yet they are in the squad. You are an idiot for thinking that tribalism was part of the decision to bring him to the afcon.
