I don’t know wat to say about this selection. To me it kinda looks descent but like i said there is no small teams in Africa b cause every country in Africa are preparing a huge surprise. LETS GO ZAMBIA LEGGOOO AFRICA.

  2. maka says:

God help us all…. including James Akwasi Appiah! Hmmm….

    • maka says:

So Kwasi Appiah you couldn’t invite Kotoko’s left back…that talented guy? Or NANA AKWASI ASARE? Well, let Massahudu do his thing, but am also surprised Abdul Majeed Warris was not called—he’s the hottest out there now….and no Quincy? Well, Adomah and Yartey are superb so no problem…..but we still need clinical finishers up there like Warris and later, Ransford Osei! Clottey is ok..yep…but I don’t trust Baffour yet although he’s a ‘local champion’ due to the lack of quality on the local scene! I am ok with the selection beause at least, our midfielders are like strikers—from Yartey, Kwadwo and Muntari to Adomah…etc….so no fears….
      Ei, God save us!

  3. FO KWADZO says:

Do you think we gonna play there and be screaming for a lotta miss chances from Mahatma. my friend we not ready for that so stop running your mouth.

      • Me says:

OJ, for your information Mahatma scored 8 goals. Ben Acheampong is no where to be found on the goal
king race list. Check ur fact before you talk. Shoe maker supporter like you

  15. SETH says:

Plse let us be honest to ourselves, is BEN Acheampong better than Mahatma Otoo and Louis Agyeman. Yaw Frimpong/Awal mohammed /Godfred Saka should hve been invited. Is Daniel Adjei and Robert Dabou better than McCarthy, unless off course Mr. Appiah tells me he is injured….. Masahudu has no business to do in the black stars. CAN SOMEBODY TELLS THE WHEREABOUT OF OPOKU AGYEMAN? Anyway m 80% ok with the squad. Wish u well MR APPIAH.

  16. kaka says:

I dont think kwasi appiah selected this team. how can u pick adiyia who is a bench warmer in ukraine ahead of Waris who is leading the goal king in Sweden? wo b3 k) ntem!

  17. SIMON BAADGHD says:

MILLION GHANA COACHES…..THERE IS ONLY VACANCY FOR 21 PLAYERS SO ALL CANNOT BE PLEASED.

  22. allubi says:

though im 80% ok about the squard,by the way, where is gyan our main striker and prince boateng?

  23. E Man says:

Ghanaians we are never satisfied. Let the coach see these players and make the changes when needed. He has not cut off other players so the door is open for others. Personally I think if this coach really utilises the quality available and gets the best from the team in man management and tactis then this could be a powerful team…but discipline is important.

  24. Quabena Ankomah says:

I think de coach is on cause of,@least there is no injured J.Mensah,J.Paintsil ect. This tell’s me de coach is on top.he simple can’t call every playa and i understand him why he called de likes of M.Allahassa,D.Adiyaa,Lee Addy cos dis is dea last chance.well dan MR AKWASI…..u are on caurse

  25. GINGER says:

hey stop all dat crack n let the man do his job

  26. Me says:

OMG!!! Mr. James Kwasi Appiah has also started taking bribes and rewarding his employers….hmmmmmm… Asem bebadi…. How on earth can he leave out Philemon McCarthy for Robert Dabuo, Daniel Adjei, Ernest Sowah. He then leaves out Baba Abdul Rahman for Lee Arday who is learning marshal arts in China. Another mistake is inviting Dominic Adiyiah and Ben Acheampong. Kwasi, the signs are clear on the wall…… Be careful for those same people who were praising your appointment would say crucify him! crucify him!!

  27. kofa says:

    Lee Addy and Adyiah? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  31. Daajoe says:

What da hell is Lee Addy, Massawudu nd Adiyiah doin in da squad nd no place 4 Baba Abdul Rahman. I don’t think we r ready.

  32. yaw says:

GSN guess you are happy now. Ishmael Yartey has been selected. Good propaganda on your part. Hope you did not take money from him. So who is next on your propaganda list?

  33. NABI says:

Decent squad, yet so many omissions that could have provided the necessary competition for places in the BS TEAM,Salifu Amidu has been very regular for fiorentina,so is Abdul Majeed Waris,Quincy O.Abeyie, and locally the likes of Baba Abdul Rahman,Yaw Frimpong,Abdul Basit,Asiedu Attobrah and Solomon Asante.I think these players should be considered next time to at least justify the confidence reposed in them,I STILL BELIEVE WITH HUNGER,HARDWORK,EFFICIENCY IN FRONT OF GOAL,AND SELF BELIEVE ON THE PART OF BOTH NEW AND OLD PLAYERS WE SHOULD BE SMILING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK WITH THE MAXIMUM 6 PTS IN OUR POCKETS,GO GHANA

  34. Isaac says:

This is a better squad any coach could assemble. Kudos to Mr. Appiah for good job done.

  35. Raba, Dynasty Restaurant. says:

Lee Addy learning marshal arts in China? Some of the comments on this site can easily pass as one the biggest comedies on this planet. Indeed, I am beginning to forget all my problems and stress at work by just reading some of the comments.Anyway, as somebody rightly put it, the coach is obliged to select certain number of players at a time & could therefore not satisfy everybody. We can only judge him by his results and not the kind of players he invites into Black Stars.

  36. Capt. Jack SpaRRow says:

I am a Full Blooded Phobian, but I think Daniel Nii Adjei Deserves to be in the team as well as Waris. but lets see how it pans out. Remember the squard will be trimmed before the games. Gud Luck to Ghana and Ghana Black Stars or Ghana Gye Nyame Stars.

  37. aa says:

    Is Essien still retired?

  38. Pendrive says:

I am ok with the squared so far.Hope we get the best out of them in order not to remember the hard core guys who thinks without them, there is no Ghana.

  39. Rabiu says:

Please help me re-establish contact with the following ex-class mates: ANKU FRANCIS, ERIC AKABOA, ERIC NUTEKPOR, SAMUEL OPOKU, SAMUEL MENSAH, MUNIRU MOHAMMED all formerly of NEW TOWN ELEMENTARY INST. aka BLACK & WHITE. My name is Mohammed Rabiu Jafar & my no. is 0244566547.

  40. wow says:

Waris Majeed has just scored 2 in the first half in Sweden to make in 9 goals in 10 games in an actual professional league…. but I am sure Ben Acheampong is better with his….. 1 or 2 goals this season in the GPL Mickey Mouse League

  41. Alhaji Drilling says:

wat is lee addy doing there

  42. muba says:

I am wondering why mubarak wakaso is not in the squad, a player who can play for the left back position. I am urging the head coach to try and invite him to justify him self.

  43. Sawyerr says:

Waris has just scroed 4 goals in 54th mins. Why will this player be left out of the Ghana team.

  44. pak says:

Error players..Lee Addy.it should rather be Awal Mohammed,,Adiyial position should be giving to Waris.

  45. O.J says:

Abdul Majeed Waris has scored 4 in 60mnts and this prolific striker was been left out. Why?????

  46. Raba, Dynasty Restaurant. says:

Abdul Majeed Waris has actually scored 4 goals so far in today’s match which is still in progress. Good news for Ghana and Africa.

  47. O.J says:

He’s already scored 5 so the game is 6 nil now

  48. afrikaba1 says:

OHH DESAILLEY, why didn’t you accept the job the first it was giving to you on a silver platter. Now look at all these Nkwasiasem. Lee Addy is still in the team. David Addy is still out of the team. Quincy Owusu Abeyie, hmmm? After serving under these Serbian managers I am beginning to think Akwasi Appiah is no different from the them. Don’t think you can parade average players around good players and win a world cup. I hope they dont mess up because I ve already been looking at tickets to Brazil.

  49. Tsintsinga Lapaz says:

The squad is ok.Surely,Lesotho & Zambia will fall.a good blend of foreign & local stars will do the trick.

  50. Toxicoly says:

Hahahaha Lee Addy is learning Judo not karate.point of correction.all the best to the call ups.

  51. tetteh force says:

we were all there when kwesi appiah was appointed.please and please, let us leave him to do his work.we have the right to say whatever we wanted only if he fails to do what is expected of him.

  52. Kwatriot says:

This website is just the right antidote for your boredom. No wonder laughter is the best medicine. Kudos gsn who rearelly cite the source of their information. To the selected players even if you are called to be a street sweeper do it well so that the hosts in heaven will pause and say here lies a street sweeper who did his job well.

  54. Cola says:

What is Jet Lee Addy doing in the squad? This guy is learning some Martial arts skills in China. Kwasi Appiah don’t commit the mistakes of ur former boss, Goran. Wise up!!

  55. chrish says:

Akwasi Appiah has to go back and select this Warris guy. Today he scored 4 goals. What else should he prove to merit call up. I did not want to comment on the selection this time but I think for once this guy deserves a place in BS

  56. wow says:

  58. Kofi Osae-Attah says:

  59. Musah Fifa says:

Coach Kwesi Appiah i like your choice and your style but is only Adiyiah that is not fit on the squad, the defence are good, the midfielders, solid, the forward 60% not yet completed there are some players left, Coach Appiah should try and give them a chance and try their best as they give others.

  60. real sabacious says:

what the heck is adiyiah doing in the team? schlupp, acosty and mahatma otoo is better that that dude!

  61. okay says:

  63. Mojahadine says:

I Love, I Love and I love this squad, the pre-madonnas are all out. This is a new day for Ghana Black Stars. This team will shock the world.

Mr Akwesi Appiah, I am begging you, never ever to call Asamoah Gyan ever to the Black Star squad. We do not need him. He is the reason Ghana under achieved at both the world-cup and the African cup. Without him we would have given Africa a team at the final four of the world cup. It is time we move away from that Gold digger with bad luck.

Infact this team and the players you have selected are teachable players who will listen to your coaching. They are all hungry for success at the next level and I can bet you they will not disappoint you, I truly believe that.

I doubted that you will be able to bring in fresh blood to the B/S but you have totally exceeded my expectations.

This selection shows that you are your own man and are really bent on improving this team.

    • abed says:

u r da gold digger… fool.what have ben acheampong done to be called into da stars, even choosing dabo ahead of sammy adjei.da kwasi nyantakyi and wa allstars clique.bloodclat

  64. Mojahadine says:

Lest I forget, coach, Adiyah should not be in this squad. You have also left out Waris, what is reason behind that. This guy is a scoring machine and I thought that is what the B/S need at the moment.

  65. Ijahman says:

If the coach is being sincere without taking any bribes or doing his job without fear or favor then then ff should be the right selection for the 2013 CAN and 2014 World Cup tournaments.
    1. A. Kwarasey, D. Agyei

  66. Tony says:

  67. solid defenders,solid midfielders,very poor strikers

  68. Sam says:
